Dear Believers in Christ,

In 2005 my wife and I stepped out on faith and planted Urban Jerusalem Foursquare Church. Our mission is to reach Urban Youth and Young Adults who would not normally attend church; through a relevant worship experience by providing a Hip-Hop approach to worship along with holistic resources for new converts and hurting disciples.

Since our existence the journey has been tough but rewarding. There are numerous testimonies from parents on how their sons and daughters are walking out their faith because of our ministry.  We have also seen the miraculous: people have been physically healed in our services; commitments and recommitments to live for Jesus Christ have been made as well.  Most of all, people are becoming disciples (Matthew 28:18 NIV).  Praise the Lord!

When God encouraged my heart to launch this ministry I was apprehensive.  One reason was because of the time obligation.  I was somewhat aware of the time commitment it involved. I served as a Youth, Worship and Assistant Pastor before but I never been a Senior Pastor.  Another thing that was intimidating was the fact that our target audience at this time is not financially able to support me and the church.  As a result; I became bi-vocational to avoid burdening our congregation.  However, it was very stressful! My job helped sustain our ministry financial obligations! But I was laid off from my job and forced into full-time ministry (I was already doing full time ministry!).

My prayer is to serve our congregation effectively without the stress of dividing my time, but I need your help.  The goal is to raise $3000 per month.  It will allow me up to serve our congregation and community freely.  This is how you can team up with me:  We are launching an “Urban Jerusalem Capital Campaign” and our immediate goal is to raise $2000 per month.  Our strategy is to get 100 people to commit to giving a $20 per month.   

Please pray about becoming an “Urban Jerusalem Covenant Partner”.  It will involve your prayers and or financial pledges.  In return, we will provide you with: updates through our seasonal newsletter, a budget of our ministry expenses, my personal speaking engagements, up-coming events, prayer requests, testimonies and annual covenant partners’ celebration.  We are asking our partners to give their donations between the 1^st and 10^th of every month.  Please note that your financial contributions are tax-deductible and you will receive an annual receipt.
